Afro-Arab Microfinance Limited has been named Best Microfinance Company of the Year in Methodology by the Ghana Microfinance Institutions Network (GHAMFIN)

The award recognises the company’s tailored financial products for clients in Zongo communities and other underserved areas. The Non-Bank Financial Institutions awards were set up to recognise business models that have grown successfully while contributing to the wider economy.

Receiving the award, General Manager Ebenezer Egyir Tetteh dedicated it to the youth and women’s groups the company works with, and said it reinforces a commitment to serving clients in vulnerable communities and inner cities, particularly “economically active women”.

Founder Alhaji Salamu Amadu thanked staff and customers, noting the recognition had come during a period of economic difficulty across the country, and said the company would continue supporting young people and women nationwide.
